Is there an alarm clock display mode?

Hey guys,

I know I can set an alarm time and it will wake me in the morning, however I don't see a dedicated alarm clock display for this phone.

I see the desk clock app and even in night mode it's WAY to bright, even on the lowest brightness setting. Also it blanks the screen completely after the 30 sec screen timeout.

Can I not get the stock app to display only the time, what am I missing here?
