app to test car battery life

I'm new to this and I'd like to know if there is a app I can use to check the power of my car battery? Like.... plugging phone charger in to the car cigarette socket and run a app to tell me how much life is left on my car battery? I work and sat in the car most the time running a dvd^tv screen and phone on charge and would like a app to tell me how much life is left in my car battery instead of starting the car letting it charge then knocking it back of?? Thanks all
