Is there an application to clean out obsolete applications from the S4?

When I try for instance the Samsung Hub, I see a series of messages telling me about all the obsolete software on my phone. However, if I try to perform a normal uninstall of the Samsung Hub - now that it is obsolete - the system does not give me that option.

Is there an application from Samsung that deletes all the obsolete applications, and brings up to date the remainder of the applications?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, no. Preinstalled apps can't be uninstalled by you, although you can probably Disable them by going to the App Manager, selecting the app, and tapping Disable. This prevents the app from opening into RAM. The only way this would be removed is with some system update pushed by Samsung or your carrier.

Do the messages seem legitimately from Samsung? Be cautious, in case they're actually popup ads that encourage you to tap a link to install something--that would more likely be adware that's trying to lure you into installing some useless (or possibly malicious) app.

These appear to be Samsung informing us as users that they no longer support the application.
There doesn't appear to be a disable button in the application manager for the applications as well.

Reading your two posts about weird behaviour and this one, I'd say your phone is in serious need of a factory reset.
There is an app available that can safely disable any installed including pre-installed apps. Search for Package Disabler Pro. It is developed by Policedeveloper. Take care with the system apps. Read the information provided per app before disabling........
