Is there any chance...?

Hello all, I was just curious if any third party company's out there will ever make an alternate battery door cover. One of the main issues I have with the phone is the flimsy cover that creaks and feels somewhat cheap in the hand. It would be awesome if someone could come out with a metal cover that feels more sturdy.

Why'd you make me realize it creaks!! haha Shame!!

I'm sure there is a chance, but due to the design, i'm not so sure.

Hahahahaha

Build quality is always the top thing for me, so I will twist and bend a phone every whichway to see how well it's built. This would be an A+ from MOTO if only they didn't gimp out on the battery door...I can't stand creaks...

Moto's hardware hasn't been as stellar since the DX in my opinion. Their high end phones felt top notch because of the metal frame, but it seems they have replaced that with the flimsy plastic as of late.

I put the cheap $15 black case on mine. Might be worth a shot & if you don't like it send it back.

I admit the build quality is very high on my old DX and people seem to be fond of the metal battery door, but that was always coming off in my pocket or if I dropped it off the couch or something, rather annoying.

On the Bionic, sure the cover is plastic, but it encompasses the whole phone so I have a hard time believing it will just pop off randomly, so I'm looking forward to that.

Also, I realize neither of these will be a concern (coming off or being plastic/metal) once I have my case on my phone, so I suggest this to anyone not happy with the plastic-ness of their phone, cover it in more plastic! :p

I actually like the plastic battery cover because you can buy a new one for $4 if it gets scratched up.
