Hi guys, I am just curious to know exactly how liquid screen protectors work, I have tried to do some research and look for some literature on how exactly liquid screen protectors work but can't find any reliable third-party non-biased explanation.

Aren't they just some gel that hardens when exposed to air for a while and effectively is the same as plastic film screen protectors with the advantage that since they were liquid when applied, they can cover everything and even seep into the scratches effectively covering it up?

And most of them don't harden quite as hard as plastic protectors. But they're easy to apply and do cover minor scratches.
