Is there any update on 4.3 for the S3?

I didnt get no update on my s3 by sprint im on L710VPBMD4 will i get the 4.3 update

Probably. But not everybody gets it at the same time. It may take you a week or more to get the OTA push from Google. That's why some people aren't waiting and are updating with the zip file that's been posted.

Do you know how to stop the downloading JPG thing going on with it?

Otherwise solid.

For those that want weather on the lock screen the app Dash Clock solves that.

Go to downloads in your app drawer. And hit clear all at the bottom.

I can't get dash clock to work with pattern lock screen. Only when it'a swipe to unlock.

Just curious, when and if this update does finally come out, should you remove your SD card or leave it in there. I have a lot of stuff on mine that I really don't want to get messed up...

Thanks

So was this not a valid question?? I can rewrite if someone cares to answer it...
Thanks,

Thanks for posting this. I installed from SD card (I'm currently not rooted). Below is shot from About Device screen and shot from Sprint's website. The version numbers are slightly different. Haven't seen any performance issues yet but makes me question if that zip was the right thing to install.

Now I'm wondering about this....will the OTA overwrite the zip version i downloaded, or do i have to go back to 4.1.2 and try to update again

Loaded up the update yesterday. Liking the new features and the new look. Only issues I've encountered are:

-Flash on the camera goes off everytime I get a new email (figured out how to finally shut that off, man that is annoying).
-From time to time I get a bunch of download/update indicators for pictures I have on my phone. Have to keep clearing those out, not sure how to shut that off.

Phone seems snappier though. Loving all the bells and whistles 4.3 has added, well worth the wait.

No, once you have the update loaded up on the phone. You shouldn't get prompted for the 4.3 OTA from Sprint.

I sideloaded the new update last night like with the MD4.
I like some of the new features, if you look at the stock messaging, it has a few new windows and looks nice.
However, I was hoping to use Dash Clock Widgets, I cannot seem to get them on my lockscreen.
Any help would be appreciated.

Fixed this issue with a full wipe.

I updated yesterday with the zip. At first everything seemed ok, but then the gallery seized. After rebooting, the whole phone was glitchy and the gallery seized again, only this time I had to pull the battery. Everything happened all over again with google play and later, settings. This morning I tried to reinstall the zip, but it didn't look like it fully reinstalled - it only took a few minutes - and did not help. Any suggsestions?

I was just trying to view a video through the stock browsers and it said there was nothing available to use default video player.
Ugh!
Any help>

I guess I'm wondering if the OTA will overwrite the zip? Then how does the factory reset take you back thru the builds?

Im still wondering that myself, but whatever you do dont go back to 4.1.2 directly. Check this thread, thanks to meyerweb Sprint Galaxy S3 - From 4.3 back to 4.1.2? Don't try this at home. - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com.

I imagine you can factory reset back and work your way through all the updates until 4.3 gets pushed OTA to you.

No Meyerweb is talking about really going back to stock with Odin, which can take you back to a previous Android version. Whatever version you are on, a simple "factory reset" does not take you back to a previous version. It just wipes all data and all downloaded apps. For instance, if you updated to 4.3 MK3 and later did a factory reset, you would still be on 4.3 MK3, just in a clean factory condition. You would have to use Odin on the PC to reinstall the original or a previous android version like when you bought it. Factory resets, although you have to reinstall all your downloaded apps, are a good way to fix phone misbehavior like apps freezing after an update or ROM flash.
PS. Before you ever do a factory reset, make sure all your contacts are saved to Google (not to your phone), so that later you can sync and get them back.

I had to load it on a second page then remove the first page. It was a lot of fumbling but got it done.

Oops, you're right. Thanks for the clarification. Awhile ago I unrooted and went back to LJ7, but indeed that was through Odin. Then I accepted the MB1 and MD4 updates as pushed to me.

@joeyv8082 - Apologies for the wrong info.

Any body with the Virgin Mobile version get it yet. I wanna sideload but no one posted anything yet. I know one person who got but they don't know how to share that kind of stuff.
