Is there any way I can turn off my Galaxy s6 without using the touch screen?

My screen recently went black and I can't see anything. I have received a new s6 but I can't activate the new one until the old phone is turned off...which I can't do because the screen doesn't work. I've tried waiting out the battery life on the old phone but it's been 48 hours now and the phone still hasn't died.

Welcome to the forums. If you can get Android Debug Bridge set up on your PC, I think the command is adb shell reboot -p.
