Is there any way to add a different shortcut to the lockscreen?

I like having the camera and phone shortcuts but I'd really like to have a shortcut to my texting app. Any way to do that?

I think you can have widgets there. Have you checked the settings on the lock screen?

On the lockscreen settings, the only shortcuts listed are phone and camera.

I'm NOT android smart so I didn't even think about a widget. That might work!

I actually went with Hi Locker lockscreen app. It works very well!

I assume, then, that you did not find away to put a widget on the stock Lollipop lockscreen? I'm so annoyed that they took away the multiple lockscreen pages, including the one that you could put a dozen app shortcuts on Believe me, I had that puppy fully populated.
