I bought this tablet for my son for Christmas. I'm impressed so far with the hardware itself but am having fits with the skin. I'm a Nexus guy from the beginning. Every device in my household is either a Nexus or Pixel. Is there a way to enable the standard android on screen navigation buttons on this tablet?
Also, this came out of the box with Marshmallow and has not updated. I was expecting to see an immediate update to Nougat?

Go to settings-navigation, in there you can enable the standard navigation buttons.
I've had mine for over a month and I'm still running Android 6.0. Contacted Huawei twice about the update.

Thank you very much. If this tablet doesn't at least get 7, I'll be ticked off. It's such a shame to me that Google does not have a line Pixel tablets. They seem to have completely given up on tablets.

It has had 7 for several months, just depends when Huawei decided to push it to the end users.

The "latest US build" thread has instructions on forcing the update. My wife and I both have one of these and the process worked on both of them.

I'm waiting on them to answer my second email. The first one they attached a PDF basically saying if you update any other way besides OTA the warranty is void. That probably doesn't matter cause if there warranty department is like there OTA department then the warranty is useless

I went ahead and did the update after Huawei told me it's Google's fault there updates roll out slowly! It went smooth. Couple weird things I've noticed:

1.When I go into a Google Now card then hit back or X out of it, it takes me to a recent app not back to the Google app.

2.Wish when you switch to using the app drawer it would leave your home screens the way they were instead it makes you start over having to add widgets etc.

3.When I added a widget like Gmail it won't let you resize it smaller than it's 3x3 default. I did find a way around that and it was to go into display settings and switch the display size from small to medium then the widget could be made smaller then you could switch back to small and it stays.

Figured I would just post this stuff in case anyone runs into these issues.

Huawei is full of it lol. I use Nova with the Google Feed enabled so I don't have much experience with the EMUI launcher. Initially I had some weirdness with the wallpaper not displaying correctly in landscape but it seems to have resolved...
