Is there any way to get rid of the alarm clock icon?

Is there any way to get rid of the alarm icon on the top bar? I know my alarm is set since when I first wake my phone up it shows when the alarm is going off next (which is more useful than the icon at the top).

Don't set the alarm........thats pretty much it.


Or use a third party alarm clock app.
