Is there any way to reset the battery of My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3?

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 switch off when the battery indicator reach to 70%, When I connect the charger the battery indicator which appear during charging a switch off device indicate that there is more than half battery full. Is there any way to reset the battery?
