Is there any way to roll back EMUI 10.1.0.123 to allow phone recording?

[Android Central Question]

P30 Pro and probably all others wont record now with newest EMUI
Hap same issue with samsung - looks like I will ditch Huawei if I cant get it fixed.

The OP probably means call recording, which is something Google is actively trying to prevent as time goes on (likely do to the questionable legality of doing so). We get quite a few questions about that.

I'm not aware of it ever being a built in function, always requiring third party apps. The laws themselves do vary. In the U.S, the laws on call recording are dependent on the states involved on any given call. Some only require one party to consent to being recorded, others require all parties to consent. Because of that, recording may be legal in one call, but not another. That's why big companies with call centers have a message at the start that calls may be recorded. By continuing the call after that notice, you are giving your consent and it covers the bases regardless of where the parties involved are located.
