Is there any way to stop my GS5's screen from waking on a Bluetooth call?

Lately I've been using a Bluetooth earpiece to operate my Galaxy S5, and it's fantastic....except for one huge pain. Let's say I have the phone in my pocket, screen off and locked - I'm still able to place a call by using the earpiece. But when I do this, the phone screen turns on and displays the current call! When that happens, all it takes is one wrong move and my thigh brushes the "end" button. Same thing happens when I end a call - the screen turns on, and the slightest motion triggers a redial, etc. Is there are a setting somewhere where I can disable the screen waking during *bluetooth* calls??
