Nope. Verizon got rid of 1 year contracts shortly after the Thunderbolt was released.

I believe they got rid of the 1 yr contracts unless you are on a corporate plan.

In any case, nothing is stoping you from buying a new phone off-contract (full price) at any time and switching it over to your line.
