Is there anyway to stop Family Link workarounds?

Recently setup family link on my child's Chromebook to limit their YouTube watching time.
They have shown me today that after the time limit has locked the YouTube app they can go to a different app (a game) that has a link to a YouTube channel and the Chromebook opens YouTube within that app so doesn't count towards the original time limit making the whole point of setting a time limit pointless.
Any ideas on how to stop this? The game in question is an educational game so I don't really want to delete or limit its time.
