I really need help.
I have a small box at the right hand corner of my PC screen that says softward download complete with two options: install now, install later. I was suspicious of this and posed this question on other forums and, long story short, followed a suggestion to download a Microsoft security scanner that did indeed find a malware trojan on my pc: Trojan:Win32/Sirefef!cfg and TrojanDropper:Win32/Sirefef.
The scanner found them and removed them, and updated Microsoft Security Essentials, which is what I have been using for virus protection, but obviously it didn't catch these.. However, this box still remains, and it was suggested by someone else that this might be something that is created by a Verizon software associated with Samsung Devices. I have just installed software for a Samsung galaxy s4 phone, and a Samsung wifi camera and I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, so if this is true it would explain it, but I don't want to download anything until I'm sure.
Does anyone know if this is the case or if not, have any other ideas? I have attached a picture of what it looks like. Thanks.
