Is this girl jealous? And if so why is she jealous?

She trashes everything I love. She talks trash about my fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order, and she says she hates the way I dress. She talks down on our University claiming that it sucks and she hates it when she knows I love it here. My roommate got a new laptop and she was playing on it and she said to me "I bet you're jealous of this laptop, because yours sucks and it's old." She makes fun of the way I dress saying that my shorts shouldn't go above my knees and Ralph Lauren is overrated and wearing boat shoes without socks is bad. She also talks trash about my PS4 saying my roommates xbox 360 is better. Even more when I called another girl pretty she called her ugly, and my roommate told me that she overhears my Conversations about when I talk to other girls and she says stuff like "he swears he talks to girls" or "it doesn't bother me." She's even made it known to me that she likes another guy. I've actually confronted her about this and she stopped talking to me for 3 weeks and didn't even say happy birthday to me .

She sounds like a very insecure person IMO. She has to hurt others in order to make herself feel more powerful. This relationship will probably continue to get worse over time, because every time she says something hurtful to you, it will make her feel more powerful. If she can destroy your self esteem, it will be much easier to have total control over the relationship.

Even if she is interested in someone else, she will probably do the same thing to him eventually.

Find someone who appreciates you for the person you are. Life is too short!

Heck, if she likes you she will try to do everything to catch your attention and make you like her, not making it worse by telling you she likes some dude, not even as a joke. When a girl REALLY likes you and you already established a connection she won't ignore you.
