Can you guys please help me out here please?

Ok I've been talking to some reps at HTC and they told me it's a issue with my phone.

What's happening is after being on the phone for over 40 seconds, and I finish my conversation I move the phone away from my ear to hang the phone up. The display doesn't become active again. I have to press the power button so I can hang up the phone.

I swapped my HTC One today for a brand new one updated to 4.2.2 right away and issue it still there.

Can you guys do some testing please? Is this normal or is it a bug?

Thanks,
Josh

If you pushed the power button while on the call then you will have to press it again to wake it. If you did not press the power button and the phone simply went dark due to the proximity sensor then it should come back on automatically when moved away from your face.

That is the issue. It doesn't automatically come back on. It does if I move the phone away within the first 40 seconds after that it doesn't. This is a brand new phone I got today I got it replaced this morning, so It's very unlikely two phones suffer from the same problem as my other One did the same.

Are there any settings I can alter to stop this from happening. I have only noticed this since updating to Android 4.2.2.
