Is this normal?

I get 1300mA when playing Pokemon GO. I used to have a Moto G5 Plus and it didn't use that much, and this is with battery saver and background apps restricted, at 0% brightness.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Can you be more specific.

You get 1300 mah from 100% immediately you open Pokemon Go? What battery app do you use? Try the Gsam battery app, over several full cycles.

Which device do you use now?
It's an "LG G4 Beat" (or "LG G4s"). On idle I get around 60mA. When on YouTube or Chrome around 450-800mA. I'll try the app, but I believe this works fine, since it didn't do the same thing on the other device. Also the time checks out. THe battery will last 1-1.5h.

Yes. I know the difference between mA and mAh. I'm talking about the current being used. I remember my Moto G5 Plus used a lot less. That's why I'm asking.

I'm using Gsam now, but I was wondering if someone got the same consumption, since the Accubattery reading is pretty accurate, because if it says it's using 2300mA, the battery will last 1 hour, so I think there is nothing wrong with the app.

I'll check out that guide. Thanks.

So, since you know, remember that apps don't use mA, they use mAh - no app can keep track of how many mA another app is using, microsecond by microsecond. (Okay, technically they do use mA, but it's the average, the mAh, that matters.) Your phone seems to be using 132 mA average, which is actually a bit low. It's using 1,367 mA at the moment you took that screenshot, but one burst of current drain doesn't do much to the total time before it needs to be recharged.

Yeah it says there "some devices may experience battery drain when playing for a long period of time".

Also in the first link it says that it can drain 90% of your battery in a day. It drains 90% of mine in 30 minutes.

Now to be honest, we are a little off topic. The reason is that Pokemon GO isn't my main concern, but battery drain in general. With that in mind, this is the main issue:

My phone exhausts the battery pretty fast. Is it because it has a large screen and a small battery? Is it because the battery is not calibrated? Is it because LG ruins Android and it uses more battery than it should?

I appreciate the help.

I almost never have sync enabled. That's very good advice. Worth to remember. However, there are no issues there.

To be honest, every software I installed has reported the battery as having good health. Accubattery even showed that the estimated capacity was 2280mAh, pretty close to the factory specs.

I'm using Gsam, and I granted the special permissions via ADB, so I'm hoping it'll catch something I missed.

I attached a picture of Gsam. You can see the battery lasted about 5 hours. And that's without playing any games or keeping the screen on for too long.

The phone was bought in 2016 by my brother. It was used normally and never fell to the water or anything. I'll check if there are any physical defects on it, but I doubt it.

I'm basically just suspecting LG and the big screen paired with the small battery. Other than that... Unless the sensors are tricking the programs in a way that everything adds up perfectly, I'm not sure what's the alternative. I'm guessing this is just an inefficient phone.

Yes I guess the battery life is just bad. Nothing to do about it. WiFi is never on, unless there is a network I want to use, so that shouldn't be the issue.

The last LG phones I had were pretty awful, so I guess this is no surprise.

Thanks for the help, friend.
