Is this phone really a FAIL???

Thought I would make a post since most who have good ones will not. I came from T-Mo and believe it or not sold a LG G2x to be able to do this. I was tired of paying $144.00 a month for me and my wife to have phone service. You would think one going from a great working G2x to the Triumph would be like one going from candy to crap, but I have been very tickled with my Triumph. When on T-Mo if i wanted to watch a ,say, cnn video it was useless unless I was on wifi. Not so with the Triumph. I can watch the whole video without it caching and stopping continually. So the data speed has impressed me. The speed of the phone while of course no duel core has been for me fast and very responsive. I haven't gotten the wifes yet and plan to at the end of the month but for us going from 144.00 a month to 70 a month you just cant beat it.

One other note. Where the dude got the info I don't know and he could have been full of it but my salesman at Bestbuy without me asking said while he was setting there activating my phone, "I wonder if the update is on these phones yet." and he looked at the upgrade screen. I asked him what update and he said that Motorola was updating them to Gingerbread. But I haven't found one inkling of that on the web so I don't know if he knows anything or not. Also I know what numbers will do. There were so many that had a problem with the G2x they filed a suit against LG and the next week we had Gingerbread. Something to think about. Sorry this post was so winded.

The back button bug would be enough of a deal breaker for me. That kind of stuff drives me up a wall. When I press a button I want it to register. I don't want to wonder whether it worked or not.

Someone posted in a different thread/forum that part of the back button problem was the grounding. The person found that when they had one hand touching something metal on the phone, they had no problems with response on any of the buttons - back button or otherwise.

I have a triumph. I got a refurb off ebay. Overall the phone has been great I'm still on 25.00 plan, big plus. It has been rooted but stock rom. Battery life is pretty close to the Optimus V and the Intercept in that order. I've not had the random reboots like the OV, had more then once daily this was partly corrected with CM7. Sometimes the touch screen reacts slowly selecting/opening apps or when swype. Otherwise what it offers and being mostly stable was worth the 230.00 I paid for it. I was trying to hold out on the Optimus Black but after seeing the HACK offerings VM offered this quarter I dont believe the OB will be out this year and hopefully the Moto will have a fully operational CM7 rom...

After owning this phone for 2 days i started to realize the radios in this phone did not even come close to the V,and returned and went back to the,V,yes the bigger screen more storage space and more powerful cpu where great but where it fails in my opinion is the number one reason to buy it and that's the radio's

The Triumph are TURDS. Returned it 6 times. Do not buy one. Its not "will my new triumph have problems", its "WHICH problems will by triumph have."
They all come new in the box with GPS issues. All of mine also had a screen flicker. I could name every issue I had but I don't need to...the only thing you need to know is to not buy one until these problems are fixed, IF they get fixed.
I went with the optimus slider instead and it is much more stable. Either go with the slider or the OV. Great phones that won't crap on you. I WANTED to love my triumph..... but it was just a giant piece of garbage. All of them were.
The more I use my slider the more I love it. I reccommend for any current virgin user.
