I currently have the Moto X 2013 and considering this phone (Z3v) heavily vs iPhone 6. My Moto X battery can not get me through 4hours of use now. I am a heavy Google app user and there are some capabilities on on this phone that are not there on the iPhone with Google Apps. The battery life and camera are a big draw to me for this phone and I know the iPhone 6 does fairly well with battery and has a great 8mp camera with features as well as gets better return on investment if I plan to upgrade later next year again. I would like honest opinions in deciding to make my decision. Thank you!

I'm a heavy Google user myself, I paid full price because I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan. That said, this phone has UNREAL battery. Usually go to bed with around 50% of battery left. Of course, everyone's usage is different, but this phone has the option to hide the battery meter because the battery lasts that long.

I paid full price for the Z3v to keep unlimited data as well. Had it since launch. Best overall phone on Verizon IMO. Battery is crazy good plus Qi charging and SD card slot sealed the deal for me.

My thoughts about your question:

Battery: Z3v wins easily

Camera: probably on par, I'd say quick snapping on Auto the IPhone wins, but with an adjustment or two the Z3v wins without hesitation.

Holding Value: iPhone easily. Sony is still trying to prove themselves to the American market.

Paid full price also as i am on a corp plan and was not yet eligible for an upgrade.

I also came from a Moto X 2013.

Battery, SD card and FM clinched me.

Go for it.

If your upgrade isn't until late next year, then forget about the Z3v...

NEW Sony Xperia Z4 LEAKED?!: http://youtu.be/V73nJ6xQFWg

Edit: Here's another Z4 link from Phone Arena. While there are conflicting rumored specs, I'd say everything is correct from Phone Arena, except I think the Z4 will have the same 5.2 display with 1080p.

I am going to buy this phone at full retail and give it a try since I have 14 days to return it.
I have the note 4, but I really just want to see what a Sony phone is like. I have never used one.

Thank you, found it! In fact the device or the software is so sensitive I can listen to a couple of local stations without the earbuds as an antenna..

I took the plunge and will try it out for the 14days and decide. Thanks all for the responses.
