Is this some kind of late April Fools?: The new HTC M8s

What would be the reason then to release the M8s? Actually the question is in any case valid
Sometimes I just don't understand HTC.

Probably to annoy you since you already have an M9. But to please people like me who would rather have a 13MP camera that might be better than the M9's 20 MP, bigger battery, and an older chip. Might equate to superb battery life. I think a lot of people would choose the S model if that were the case. Better low light pictures maybe.

It doesn't annoy me. If that would be the case, I will just buy the new M8....

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Neither the M9 nor the M8S have any bearing on my enjoyment of my phone at all - so why should they matter to me? If I had to buy a new phone right now, I'd buy a M9 and wouldn't even have to think about it.
