does everyone have this problem with menu and home key only partially lighting up? M and E letters is not lit on the word menu? Is this worth returning a phone?

Yea, it's present on mine too. I've seen several others with the same deal. I know it's a little frustrating to see that imperfection on such an expensive phone, but that's a harsh reality of mass production -- not all assembly lines for a given product are created equal.

Probably some slight issue with a stamping machine on the assembly line. Issues like this are usually found out and then they're corrected in later production runs of new phones. The price you pay for being an early adopter. Just how it goes.

Hell yea, it's worth returning! You've been waiting how long for this phone? and how much did you pay? Your phone should be working flawlessly! Just show the tech guys the problem and make sure you get a brand new phone not a refurb (if there are any of those yet). Good luck.

I return it too... something odd is going on, could cause future issues.

Hum. None of my keys are lit. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Yes, but read below.

That would bug me. Mine light up great.

I'd return it. But that's just me. Im anal.

My OCD self woud go totally insane.

Yep. Look, I'm getting the TB today. It is an amazing phone. It's true that these types of things are the reality of mass production. However, I have owned every HTC phone dating pack to the WM Touch. Their is always something, and the TB is repeating a lot of things that I saw on the EVO, with light leakage, stuck pixels, uneven button lighting, and most likely there will be a dust under the screen complaint.

On the other hand, I have also owned Samsung phones. I rarely see these same types of issues being reported. However, what we have to deal with is non functioning GPS, and longer than acceptable software releases/fixes.

The iPHone is not immune either. Think of all the antenna issues that were reported.

So, I've concluded this is an imperfect world and I have learned to just deal with it, or keep exchanging until it's as near perfect as I can get ;)

I noticed the same issue with the letters in my bottom buttons. I just figured thats the way they are. I guess not.

Post a pic OP. My Dinc has non-uniform distribution for the keys, but how much worse yours is would change my answer to returning it.
