Is this your last Samsung device for the foreseeable future?

Cool. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Titanium is nice but man when I saw the White!... I miss the couple of White Ultras I was rocking.

Yeah the 23U honestly I feel I could rock a few years if I wanted to. I like the flat screen of the 24U so I could go tempered glass but not enough to upgrade a one year old phone when the rest is basically the same (and question their camera change).

Funny, and terrible, thing. I finally dropped a phone that caused the slightest of dings on the frame... so I don't want to deal with arguing it's not perfect for trade in so I guess the 23U is a keeper no matter what.

Unless the glass I cracked I doubt you'd have an issue but their trade-in department is notoriously bad.

Same boat as you though. If it wasnt for this fricken curved screen, the S23 Ultra, is for me, The Perfect Phone.

Denial isn't a river in Egypt. You're a phone junkie and you know it. Don't deny it....
You think ???

Funny someone recently also mentioned that I was in ummmm " denial " about something with my personality but had nothing to do with being a phone junkie ummmm don't ask !!

For the Fold folks (we have a flip so I'm good on info there), what is keeping you with or wanting you to upgrade?

2 or 3 years ago maybe I bought a Fold, started driving home and turned around and returned it, it was still sealed.

Aside from productivity, the form factor doesn't make sense to me. Movies unless cropped are the same size as the Plus or Ultra.

But like I said I still have my pristine 22U and if they have the $1000 trade-in. I just may just upgrade for a couple of hundred just to have a phone that will keep value up later down the line. It's worth a couple of hundred if the phone is worth $1000 trade down the line whether you go iPhone or Android. ;)

Otherwise I haven't read anything that would make the 25U any more attractive than my 23U.
Yeah I was torn between the white and Desert Titanium

S23u is still a very solid device, if they offer a good amount on the s22u I would bite

I traded in a S23 Ultra (originally a S22 Ultra but warranty got a newer model) for a Pixel 9 Pro XL. I'm very happy with the change so far. Samsung no longer gives the overall experience of hardware and software for the price. Hopefully in the next few years they'll get back to where they were before.

We see with One UI 7 on Android 15 supposed to be an overhaul on Samsung OS

Odd choice but what you like is what you like. But price wise the S23 Ultra is cheaper and IMO the cameras are better than the S24 Ultra and Google's photos have always just been different.

That said your experience with software and hardware being better on a Pixel, by extension Google device, is strange. More AI for the lack of camera power and from a company known not to be user focused and trash bin software and hardware when it doesn't work out.

But again, everyone likes what they like. If you like the Pixel, glad you found something to fill the void you felt. Please tell me you are least got the unlocked version?

I have to say point and shoot it's hard to top the pixel or iPhone camera
Full control Samsung has them both and videos Samsung/iPhone
Zoom I like Samsung

That's true though it highly depends on which Samsung you have and which years model. My S23 Ultra is to me at least more or less point and shoot. It probably doesn't create perfect shots every time like the Pixel does 95% of the time but conversely my S22 Ultra (or was it S21 Ultra?), the focus would constantly hunt and never lock on. That was the epitome of not point and shoot.

I will, most likely, pay it off and trade it in next year for the s25u but could wait for the next fold.

What is "it"?

Samsung sells better screens to Apple and Google. They sell better camera sensors to Vivo and others. Some will say those are different Samsung divisions. The Pixel 9Pro XL finally has a good modem, a better screen than the S24 Ultra, and comparable battery life. It has a less powerful processor which matters if you do graphics intensive gaming. It has less customization but what it does works.

I’ve always enjoyed Samsung phones, including now the Fold 6 but gotta say this P9PXL is top notch and hard to leave as my daily. Hangs with all my phones in quality and performance and I don’t game on any phones so I don’t compare that part.
