Is TWRP safe (no root)?

Is it safe to install TWRP on android with emui interface?
If I am not mistaken, I'd need to unlock bootloader, so is that also safe or not?

I don't want to risk rooting my phone, I don't want to face any issues, so any answers are appreciated!

Generally, unlocking the boot loader will wipe your personal data, so if you consider that unsafe..

I use TWRP, it's fine, and you don't have to root the phone.
