ISIS

My neighbor has the latest DROID Maxx (not to be confused with the RAZR Maxx) and he has ISIS installed. Works great everywhere (CVS, 7-11, Verizon Store, McDonalds, etc). I called VZW tech support about GN3 and they told me that it is not supported on the GN3 because of NFC configuration. He claims it is a Samsung issue because it works fine on the GN2 but not the GN3. So... that leaves my only hope with Google Wallet for now. For the users of Google Wallet, I have installed it and so far no errors. The only feature that appears to be missing is a "tap to pay" button. Does anyone using GW on a GN3 on VZW have this feature?

Hopefully they'll will hurry with the Kit Kat update and this will be a non-issue since according to Google we'll all be able to use the tap & pay functionality through GW.

Nope Tap to Pay doesn't work. I thought I read earlier in this post that someone was able to use Tap to Pay, but I think they're a liar or rooted. I tried today at Babies R Us, didn't work. Just an error sound.

Huh really odd they are telling you that ISIS doesn't work on the GN3 because of a configuration, because I had it on my phone up until recently when I did a complete reset of my phone. After that it was suddenly unable to be downloaded and used. Up until then it worked. It works on the GS4, how different could the NFC configuration be?

Ok guys, I haven't been able to verify this yet, but I think I was able to get Isis 2.0 working on my Note 3. I upgraded to a Note 3 from a Note 2 and still had it lying around. I installed Isis 2.0 on my old Note 2 since it is one of the compatible phones listed. After installing it, I used ES file explorer to back up the app and then sent the apk to google drive. From there, I opened up drive on my Note 3 and installed the Isis 2.0 apk. I got it to install and reload my wallet. I even was able to add my Amex Serve card. I have yet to verify that it works in stores but I did get it up an running without crashing.

Nice ...Let us know how it works in the stores.

Ok, I can confirm that the method I outlined earlier does indeed work. I used Isis to pay with Amex Serve card to buy something at Toys R Us earlier tonight.

Do you have a link to the apk?? I'd love to give ISIS a try.

Can you upload the apk for the app?

How do I upload the apk?

You go to drop box, click the apk file and select copy link.

It should look something like this:

This is an old Goole Wallet apk that I used to get Wallet on my GNex. I don't think the link works, but that's what it should look like.

I successfully got isis to work on my note 3. I will try to upload the apk later today. I wish I could just link it to a debit card but it looks like I have to use the prepaid American express card and then put money on the express card which is kind of stupid but I will play around with it some more.

I got it installed using the apk in the link I posted above. But I needed a new SIM card from Verizon (the Secured Element SIM card). I had pre-ordered my Note 3 so I didn't have the special SIM card. After Verizon installed it (and knew what ISIS was and what card I needed shockingly) it still didn't work BUT I deleted isis app. Reinstalled and then rebooted phone and boom it worked. Added my Amex. Worked. Didn't try it yet but I think I'm good to go!

I have a chase card but I wish I could just use my debit card. Makes like so much better.

So I used isis today at McDonald's and it worked. Pretty cool, used my free 10 dollars to get lunch today.

That's probably what I'm going to do tomorrow. And I have 90 Coke reward points enough for 3 free Coke's.

In a perfect world I would to use Google Wallet, but Verizon block GW on their network. Therefore, the only digital wallet available is ISIS. At least that is what I was told by verizon.

Actually Google Wallet now works for Verizon phones. When it was blocked if you tried to download it you'd get the message that it wasn't compatible. Now it works like a charm especially on the N3.
