issue getting to stock ROM on Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I rooted the phone. everything good.
I then installed Rom manager and downloaded ROM codename Android.
But I think I downloaded the wrong ROM. I downloaded the bottom ROM ICS ver 4.02 or something like that.
Now when the phone loads up it will not let me type anything, will not let me go to the market, will not let me log in to Google mail. etc

SO then I try to recover and it comes up with the Red Triangle with the ! on the droid bot.

Do you know how to reset the phone to factory ROM?

I am a little new to the rooting and everything and would really appreciate some help.

Sounds like the problem you had is that you did not also flash the gapps file. It's best if you abandon trying to install your ROMs through ROM Manager. It gives you absolutely no understanding of whats going on in the process, so when something doesn't work right, you have no clue what happened. I'd suggest reading the first page of Cyber's sticky on installing a ROM (http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...backup-restore-install-roms-galaxy-nexus.html). It's very easy (step 1, then 2, then 3, etc...) to follow but gives you total control over what's happening during the process. Then you also follow the directions for flashing the particular ROM your trying to install. Usually they say something very similar to:

1. Download ROM file and gapps (Google Apps) file to phone (or to pc, then copy to phone)
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. Flash (install) the ROM
5. Flash (install) the gapps file
6. Reboot phone
