Issue updating

Hi I have a rooted optimus stock rom and it offers me update I download then it downloads and reboots then I'm still at froyo l?!?! My bros phone is rooted and worked fine for him

Do you have a custom recovery installed? I don't believe the update will run with a custom recovery and even if it did, it would leave your phone in a not so happy state.

If you really want it, you can download the update.zip from the ZVH rooting thread and install it by hand by putting it on the sdcard and booting into Recovery, choosing "apply sdcard:update.zip", although I would suggest just doing the full root procedure and it is less work to root it now that it would be if you accept the update first and later on decide to root.

If you did take the update and are having issues, you can now be flashed back to Froyo until LG releases a fix - just take it to any Sprint store that does service/repair, or PM me for the file.
