I've had my A7 since August 4th and I've noticed a few things.

The phone will restart once or twice a week on its own

Apps wont clear and I have to uninstall and reinstall them

Camera is pretty terrible in low light

I noticed the poor camera in low light also. Luckily I didn't have the other problems. I did have 1 app that would crash the software every single time I tried to install it. Fox Football Friday Night was a good app. But just crashes the A7 so it had to go.

There isn't any single app that causes the phone to restart. I just sit it on the counter and sometimes it'll restart. I've also had GPS issues. I'm not getting rid of my A7, I love it but these things need to fixed.

Damn what's with all these issues people are having with their axon 7's?
I'm starting to loose confidence

Don't lose confidence. It's basically a very good phone, especially at $400. I was going to sell mine, but have decided to keep it. Unless you actually have a defective phone, clearing the cache partition and/or doing a factory reset will solve 99% of the issues. I would at least wait until the next major software update to see what they can do.

I have been using mine for several weeks without any real issues at all. There are a few strange non-working built in software pieces...but other than that, using Nova Prime launcher mine has never rebooted on its own and everything of importance works properly. So I would easily recommend this phone to anyone! Running on AT&T.

I couldn't agree more with jaseman. This is a good phone. Every single phone has some issues. I also have Galaxy S6 and S7's and they have issues too. Just read some of the forums here on virtually any phone. I too use Nova Launcher. If you don't like ZTE's apps, there are plenty of free 3rd party apps that will work just fine. So just enjoy your Axon 7.

The software stuff I have experienced is definitely due to a software bug. When I can't get apps to close but they are still up, that's a problem. In all my years of using Android phones, I've never had this happen. The phone rebooting is another issue that I have experienced and has really worried. It'll happen randomly while on a call or while it's sitting on my desk at work.

I'm going to pick up a 7 plus on Friday and see what ios have to offer me because I like having both platforms.

I fully agree that apps should close properly and it certainly is not normal for the phone to randomly reboot. You may have to do a factory reset. If you do, don't restore from a backup. Before you add any apps, see if the ones that come with the phone close when you do a close all using the button to the right of home. Also, see if the random reboot is gone. If both issues are still there after a factory reset, then I would contact ZTE about a replacement.

If it continues, I will be contacting zte about getting the phone replaced. Sadly I can't get it replaced yet since they don't have any in stock.

I've got the mini and am having the random reboot about twice a week as you are with the A7. No other issues to report. I bought the mini for music listening, not as my main phone.

Try OP3. I debated between Axon7 and OP3 and went for later. It's just great.

Ok here's a follow up to my particular random reboot issue. As i said, my A7 mini is a backup phone. I'm using a data only sim card from project fi. I had installed an app that helps it try to switch carriers. Since this is not a nexus or pixel device, it only stays connected to T-Mobile. Once I uninstalled the app, it hasn't rebooted.

I've had zero random reboots on my phone. I use Nova Prime as well. About the only issue I've had is with my Exchange account calendar syncing properly. I've installed Microsoft Outlook app and it seems to have fixed it. The only problem is I hate Outlook's calendar widget. None of the other calendar widgets work. I don't miss a meeting since the Outlook app works ok
