Issues killing my 2014 experience

I don't think that word means what you think it means. Exactly what is your definition of the word performance?

I traded in an iPad Air for my first Android and there's pros and cons to each. The specs of the iPad with it's measly 1GB of ram should pale in comparison to the Note, but the iPad is smooth as butter where the Note chugs and hiccups on many simple actions. I'm not switching back, I like the stylus too much, but if you're honest and know your tech you know Apple run a much tighter ship in terms of efficiency and optimization. Admittedly that's due to the tight integration of software and hardware, something you can't get ( and don't want ) with Android.

To leave on a positive note, I have found testing my apps is much smoother on Android. I'm enjoying the tighter build/test cycle :)

I think you're confusing app performance, which is stellar, to launcher performance. I could give a **** if there are hitches navigating my home screen...which are minimal at best ( I swaer to god...more people count frames running android tablets tnban when p!aging fighting g games...). But by all means...if navigating a list of icons is the most I portant performance issue for me...share how that makes you feel...

Funny thing... I do not have any of the problems mentioned, and would not know what lag is unless its the milliseconds for processor to get something on to screen, or really bad APP (crap)...

My complaint is most apps for phones running on tables are pretty superficial and mostly useless for serious tablet applications... My complaint is "software" not hardware or operating system....

Only REAL complaint would be not being able to get rid of bloatware with out having to root device.... This is Samsungs marketing problem.... Why lock people into a dozen apps they do not want to need.... I know, its just the $$$$$$ app providers pay Samsung....

Or share feel free to share how the people that are talking in a forum are foolish for having complaints. I have no issues navigating icons on a home screen. I have issues navigating a web page which leads to clicking on links on the page I can't see because of lag for example. Or typing and having lag that leads to typing jibberish that I have to back up and correct. Gets to be a ***** when you're dealing with multiple emails or IM's. My original question was about possible solves for the 4 issues I have that would make it a good device. I fixed one with pipe tape, and unfortunately no one can tell me if it's possible to disable the buttons.

Umm... You mention webpage..... Ever stop to consider the web is slow, and inclined to have lag.... Maybe some issues are totally beyond your control, beyond tablets capabilities, and even the browsers capabilities.... The instant you access anything outside realm of tablet (physical presence) you are at the mercy of "outside world"....

As for you button issue, you have solution.... Whats your problem and why are you trying to disable them... Or does it drive you batty the Samsung logo is upside down....Personally I like it better because it puts USB plug away from me..... IF you disable the buttons you have effective killed your tablet....

Difference in philosophy on the button issue. I prefer the on screen buttons when using the device, especially when using the mouth.
With Documents To Go spreadsheet open and Floating Apps calculator open and out of the way, I no longer have to touch the screen with potentially dirty hands. Ultimately, Documents To Go going multi-windows would be good.
