Issues mirroring S3 with the 5 to 11 pin adapter

I recently purchased a Samsung 5 to 11 pin adapter from Amazon for my S3. I plugged the adapter to my phone and used my MHL adapter to plug into that and HDMI cable. After having all the connections correct I could see the mirrored image on my TV but it won't stay. I flickers like crazy then it also shows static/snow as well. I tried using a different MHL adapter, HDMI cable, phone charger. and all 3 HDMI ports on my tv with the same result. So other then replacing the 5 to 11 pin adapter everything else has been tried. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have read simlilar threads with people having the same problem, but I read that once you get everything plugged in correctly, reboot the phone without unplugging it. That should clear it up. I haven't tested it with my SGS3 because I don't have my adapter yet. Hope this helps!

I haven't been able to get mine to work at all, even on my samsung plasma. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. No picture on tv at all

I get mine working ok, but there is a latency on movies and games. Almost a minor frame rate stutter.

Ok for TV Shows/movies that aren't action orientated, but poor for action scenes and games.

I'm curious if the problem is the adapter and if getting the Samsung oem mhl cable would fix it.
