issues since update

Hello all,
I have searched high and low for a week and cannot find an answer for my problem.
the issue I am having is that my phone seems sluggish ever since the Verizon software update.
Also, the startup animation screens (Samsung & Verizon) are gone.
The screen simply goes black until it is fully booted, while playing the audio files for the splashscreens.
When I updated, the update itself was stuck in a loop and kept doing its thing multiple times. I believe there are some corrupted files or something of that nature.
my question IS:
Is there a way to revert to the pre update software?

I already did the hard reset to factory settings and that did nothing for me.
Any and all help and feedback is greatly appreciated.

You're very welcome. I was pretty much in the same situation as you yesterday, so I can totally relate to how that feels.

Since you were so helpful with my issue maybe you can help me with another I just noticed.
I can no longer long press an email in my corporate account and file it in a sub folder. I used to be able to long press an email and one of the options was to "move" into another folder. Now that option is missing. Only delete, reply, open, etc.
