Issues with Apps/Widgets

Hopefully someone can help. I switched from iPhone to the Rezound on day of release. I like the phone a lot but I've had one major issue. When I unlock the phone 50% of the time there is an app is already highlighted in red when I go open a different app say the weather app the one that was already highlighted opens up or the clock widget opens up. It's frustrating, Best Buy had replaced my first Rezound but this one also does it. If anyone can help it would be much aprreciated!!

1. Have both phones done this from Day 1 on your Rezounds?
2. How's the scrren lock set up in your display settings?
3. What have you tried in your own sceen lock troubleshooting, if you have tried previously? (i.e. Tried using other shortcuts, changed themes, pin lock etc.,.)

1. Yes they both have
2. Display settings: Auto rotate is checked, screen timeout is 45 secs., and notifications are turned on. There is nothing else. Unless I'm missing something??
3. I haven't tried anything. I;m new to Android so I wouldn't know where to start. Any suggestions would be helpful.

1. Oops, I have to ask again b/c I meant display as in the personalization menu for the display, not settings, sorry for not being clearer w/ that. Which is where you can customize the Sense UI. It's the button on the bottom right of your home screen where it says personalization, then click on display, which brings up options. Have you tried the different themes, skins, lockscreen options or used alternate lockscreen shortcuts? Or set up different options for profiles.(i.e. alternate profiles beside the main UI you use). I need to know if you have the same issues are common w/ all these choices. If you have done this.w/ the same results, we'll check something else. To be honest, I'm intrigued by this b/c, this is the first time I've seen an issue like this involving the Rezound.

P.S. Hope the employee at BB wasn't a moron, got confused and somehow gave you back the same phone, instead of a new device. I say that b/c this is quite odd that both phones would exhibit this issue, it's an anomoly, for sure.

Since your not very familiar w/ android and can't flash anything unrooted. I'd suggest calling a CSR at Verizon corp. Explain to them what happened, even though you bought it through BB. I think the circumstances are odd enough they may just mail you a replacement rather than send you back to BB to return it. If not, if you request it, they'll put you in direct contact w/ htc tech. support for troubleshooting options that they can access remotely if need be.

I have a question about widgets in general. If a widget say clock or battery level is not on the home screen does it take a second to update. When I go to a panel screen that is not my home screen the clock widget and battery level widget take a second to update. Is that supposed to happen or should it be instant when you go to that panel?

Nothing to worry about, that's run of the mill for any android phone if battery saving oprions are in use If it annoys & you want widgets like weather, clock etc.,. to be run in real time, check the always on data option in Power settings. It'll take a noticable toll on the battery life, though.
