Issues with AT&T Note 2

Have you tried using S Voice, it is getting better and better and gives you almost totally hands-free voice to text to send messages, get directions and so forth.

How do you use it? And isn't that what's on the keyboard?

S-Voice is accessed in the apps drawer (not on the kb). I believe I had to accept a eula before use, not certain. You can do all sorts of things with oral commands such as saying: Send a text to Dad (or an email to Jenny). You can ask questions such as: Who won the Arkansas-Alabama game last night? The S-Voice will inquire if you want to ask google if S-Voice isn't already programmed with the answer to your question. It's really quite fun to use!

This Is what it should be

Cool, thank you. do you access it from the app or do you hold down the home key? I turned off the home key thing because I heard it helps the wake up / sleep lag.

I just put it on my first home screen. Easy to get to.

S-voice adds calendar events for me; however it easily makes mistakes that must be sometimes manually corrected. I suppose the calendar defaults to "today" to add an appointment--which makes setting the correct date more difficult IMHO. Also, the calendar gmt time goes crazy and I have to reset it each time I add an event, either via S-voice or manually.

Mine keeps saying that it cannot be saved to my calendar. Something must be wrong.

Bugs are to be expected with new phones. Only thing I've noticed is that the samsung keyboard likes to load by default after a reboot. Kind of annoying.

I find this annoying also, it is really the only issue I have ran into so far.

Is it possible to delete a pre-named Group of contacts (such as ICE)?

I appreciate android's permitting me to arrange my groups in my preferred order :)

How did you turn off the home key thing? When I hold on to the home key it brings up the task manager but on my wife's note2 it just vibrates and nothing happens . any ideas?

I'm not sure on the stock launcher. I'm using the Nova launcher and on that you can set the home key to do a variety of things or you can set it to none.

I just got my N2 a few hours ago and one of the things I've noticed is that there is a slight lag between hitting the side sleep button and the screen coming on. I came from the S3 and I have compared them side by side a few times and every time the S3 screen comes on instantly, while the N2 still lags about a second. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying considering the specs of this phone. Also, I personally think the S3 screen looks a little better to me. The blacks seem deeper when comparing like screens and pics.
