I'm trying to do the whole CM 11/KitKat update.

It says that it will not work unless you have the latest version of CMW.

It shows up that my Current Recovery is 5.x.x.x.

I'm trying to flash to 6.0.4.3, but I keep getting "An error occured while flashing your recovery."

Any ideas on a remedy?

Welcome to the forums.
Is the file a .tar or .md5 file by chance?

Something was messed up with the rom I had installed, so I installed a different one I already had installed on my sd card.

I can't remember which rom I initially installed, but it wasn't detecting that my phone was rooted for some reason. After I installed the Pacman rom, I was able to update CMW and then install CM 11, the gapps, and newest SuperSU app.

Only issue I'm having now is a battery charging issue, but hopefully I can figure it out.
