issues with g3

When you come into forum of mostly G3 fans and throw around words like "colossal failure" it comes across as a bit challenging, rather than asking for help or experiences. For what it's worth, the G3 is my first LG phone, I've had it for about 6 months I guess, and have had zero problems with it. I've even dropped it (on carpeted floors) a few times, without a case.

No manufacturer, including Apple and Samsung, have a 100% reliability record. Components fail. Life happens. You have a warranty for just that reason. Use it and move on.

As far as "other LG users" I've been on this, and other Android forums, for a lot longer than you, and have seen very few posts about reliability problems with the G3. Sure, there are some, but by the large majority of users on G3 forums are satisfied with their devices.

Wow! This thread went South really quick. To answer your question, I have a G3 and I have not had the issue with my buttons not working. No real charging or freezing issues. App icons have to reload sometimes but nothing major. I work for Tech Support of a cell phone company and I can tell you that the issues you are having just sometimes happen to phones with no rhyme or reason. If you dropped it or not some phones just crap out for no reason at all. Hopefully your replacement will work out great for you.

Hello xx. I've owned a G3 since it was a new device and in those days.... last June....we were all so excited about it in this forum, which was then a new forum and composed mainly of members who didn't have one yet. As more and more devices became available it soon became clear that this groundbreaking beauty was the most desirable phone of its day. It was, and remains, one of the best phones you can buy and I don't think you could have chosen anything better, taking specs, performance, quality and price into consideration. As good perhaps, several months on....but not better.
All devices have their faults, the G3 included, and I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences. I hope you get a good replacement and stick around with us here in the G3 forum.☺
