Issues with group texts

[Android Central Question]

I recently bought a galaxy s21 (previously had iPhone 7) and am having issues with group texts

I can send out a group message, but the recipients say they receive it separately and the replies I get from them come individually.

I have this issue with both google messages and samsung messages. Group conversation is enabled in settings, download automatically is on, download while roaming is on. I have also tried resetting my network settings and checked APN settings with my mobile carrier (Aldimobile).

Nothing has worked, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I am not sure if the second part of the other thread method (iOS users need to update your contact details in their contact app, for indicating you as sms not iMessage) is always required. Maybe it helps when someone just leaves Apple and has not yet de-register their number from iMessaging. I have a handful of iPhone users on a group mms chat for example, and it works just fine and I never had to tell them anything specific about me not being an iMessage user.

It is strange what OP is experiencing especially with two different message apps and deregistering the number from Apple
