Issues with launching the camera

There is a feature in the camera settings, with a double click on the power button that will open your camera.. I turned on that feature, but when I double clicked the power button the system went to the Lock screen? And now it went from the lock screen to just a blank blank screen? Help!

I decided to take my phone into tmobile and have them check out my phone and they solved this issue... You need to double click the powder button Rapid or very fast!..
