Went to a Sprint store yesterday with my Pixel XL to connect it on my current line, and they said its not possible. The only way i can connect my Pixel is through one of their pre-paid plans. Thats very disapointing

Good advice. I would also talk to tech support over the phone if needed.Did try a corporate store

It's called a "Bring Your Own Device" sim. Tell them that's what you need.
Sent you a message....I remember when I was having similar issues trying to activate a Moto X Pure that I had purchased directly from Motorola.
I wasn't having any luck with Sprint until I called in and got a rep in the global department, since I was told they had the ability to send out sims for free.
The previous Sprint rep wanted to charge me a few bucks and one of them advised me that they couldn't activate a non-Sprint branded device.
If anything, Google's massive advertising campaign may make more reps realize that you can activate non-Sprint phones on Sprint.
I think the best thing to do is keep talking to different people until you find one that knows the process for BYOB devices.
As a last resort, I know Best Buy has these BYOB sim cards available to, but they charge $10. I would be curious to know if Sprint stores are charging a fee or giving them out for free.
