Issues with Sync and Nexus 9

AC Question

I am trying to import my bookmarks in Google Chrome from my desktop to my Nexus 9 tablet. I have followed all directions to set it up, however it is saying "setup in progress" and has said this for over an hour. Should it normally take this long to sync?

Welcome to Android Central! Where do you see the "Setup in progress" message? Within Chrome on the tablet, or is it a system message?
 
Hi. I have no idea how it posted as Guest, but that's me in the OP. Anyway, when I go to Chrome on the Nexus 9 tablet, Settings, click on my email address at the top, it shows "accounts", says "you're signed in to the following Google Accounts" and shows my email again, and right below it it says "Setup in progress." Has since yesterday. I've tried turning off Sync and turning it back on and restarting my tablet. I've tried turning Sync off in my browser on my desktop computer and turning it back on just to see if it "refreshes". Still not working.
 
Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Chrome, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your account] and uncheck Chrome, then check it again. Open Chrome and see if things synced correctly.
