So I decided to do the SBF to my phone to try and cure the multiple issues I was having.

Camera lag and freeze
Typing lag - which got better when I cleared cache
Gallery not opening

etc.

After the SBF here are my issues

When opening texts or browser with phone vertical sometimes get the bottom half of the screen all black
Worse typing lag now in browser and text messaging
Gallery still doesn't open
Apps didn't restore had to push them one by one from the app market on my computer.


Any suggestions?

what did you SBF to? i SBF'd the X i have here and dont have these issues. i went to 596 rooted.

Maybe sbf wasn't the right term I ran the recovery and wiped it and it is completely stock never been rooted.

Without root, you do not have access to Titanium backup, which would have cured your ills with the apps not reloading.

Gallery issues could be related to an error on your memory card. Try copying all of it to a computer, wipe the card and then copy the data back.

Not sure what to advise on the other issues since you are not rooted.
