What's your basis? Every single person in this thread who actually has one has said that it's OEM and 100% real and I even provided a picture of the waterproof seal to someone who PM'ed me, which I'll gladly post below so you can see for yourself.

It is a fairly common practice lately for Chinese manufacturers to add an extra line shift to run knock-off products such as back covers, phone cases, and various other high volume parts that they make for name brand companies! These companies don't like the idea but have no real way of stopping it and consider it a cost of doing business in China! You may refer to it as a knock-off but it is the same product from the materials, specs and same line as the original!
The company I used to work for experienced this same issue when they moved one of their product lines to China...turned out the Chinese were even billing them for the materials used to make the knock-off items!!!

I'd be VERY cautious with that. CHanes are it's not 100% GENUINE from Sammy. Just an FYI, be careful man, might not be water rsistant even though I do see the protective seal.

I emailed the seller because I was interested in getting this blue one.
My question:
Are these real Samsung back covers made by Samsung or are they simply compatible with Samsung? What is the country or origin?
The reply:
They're compatible with Samsung Galaxy S5; not sure of their origin.

I may still buy one but I wouldn't be confident that it's water resistant.

Like Jake, I've gone over my covers like it was my job and there is absolutely no difference from an official one, with the exception of the logo. That will not be true of all that you will find online, ebay, etc. There are definitely non-oem versions out there. One of the best indicators is that part on the inside that is of a different material than the rest of the cover. Not sure why this part is different or what its for but all the oem covers are made this way. There are plenty of covers for sale that DO NOT have this and are possibly not built on the same lines. These are the ones to avoid. They probably have a cheaper version of the samsung logo as well. If you want to know what the official logo looks like, go to a Best Buy. Many of theirs are non-carrier phones.

As posted I cannot tell the difference between the original that came with my S5 and the "Waterproof" back cover I ordered on eBay.
