Items Not Marking as Read in Outlook after Moving to Folder

If I read or Mark Read (or open) an email on my HTC One M8 then move it to one of my Folders, it shows as Unread in Outlook, leaving the bold (1) by the folder name. This is very annoying. Has anyone else encountered this? Using the stock M8 Mail app and Outlook on Windows 8.1 and T-Mobile USA.
