I recently went through a bout of uncertainty about Inc vs. X. But after watching some of the Droid X videos out there I quickly was over it. The Inc is the phone for me.

Ive never used stock Android or Blur but I think one of the biggest reasons I love the Inc so much is HTC's Sense UI.
Add me to the "This is the best phone I have every had" party!! I have had it since May 27th and I absolutely love it. I have quite a few apps and I'm on this forum everyday reading up and learing.
I'm new to android so this has been (and still is) a complete learning experience. I did changed my boot up animation to the cool red eye and the Droid audio and that works great!!
Also like to thank the folks on this forum for being so helpful and sharing their experiences as well as aswering questions and guiding folks like me.![]()
How did you go about changing your boot up with the cool red eye and the droid audio?![]()

I'm assuming the DI had to be rooted to do that. Changing the startup animation and sound, from what I have read online, can only be done on a rooted DI. Is that right?
I did that last nite as well. I still can't get sound but the animation works perfect.
There are two files you need, the boot animation zip as well as the sound MP3. You need that mp3 file to get sound. Did you install it when you did the boot animation install? If so, make sure your phone is on ring when you shut it down, if it is on vibe or silent then you will not hear the audio part of the boot animation.
The sound has to be named "android_audio.mp3" I believe you can also use .ogg files.
adb push android_audio.mp3 /data/local <---same spot as the bootanimation.zip
