It's been more than a month

Interesting. Never heard of it till now.

Yep. It is pretty neat. That is why people love Samsung Pay so much. You see NFC -- cool can use. If they only have a card reader you can still use it so win win. :)

To be honest, I've never tried using my phone to pay for anything. It's easier just to pull out my wallet.

Don't know if you know, but the Gear s3's have Samsung pay in them, works on any phone. The only problem though is that the watches are $300 and some people don't like smart watches (Or watches in general)

I just got th Gear S3 Frontier (TMO) and it pairs up great with the V20 AND its a fantastic standalone device. The build quality is first class. Samsung Pay works so smoothly it's almost uncanny.

Love mine! I had a v10 and we switched carriers. I loved my v10 except when Verizon updated it and the battery life went to crap.

So I got a note 7 after the first recall. I was loving everything about it except for the glass back, sealed battery, and the worst part... The curved screen. So then that one got recalled after having it only a week. So I waited for the v20 since I loved the v10. I hate how at&t took out the lg music player... BASTARDS. But I'm loving the phone very much! Only gripe is the curved glass top and bottom makes screen protectors a pain. This curved glass crap gotta go. It was between the v20 and the s7 edge. The s7e would have been a simple swap and leave but those curved edges kept me away. I don't like the screen protector problems with curved screens and cases don't really protect those exposed edges.

I love this phone. My only complaint is the camera in auto mode doesn't take the best pictures in low light. I love the sound, both through the hifi with headphones and the bottom speaker. The screen is vibrant without being garish and its LTE is blazing fast.

I've have the LG G4 ( imo) was a boring phone and couldn't wait to get rid of it. Took a chance on the V10 loved it, and the V20 even better. Definitely a device make for power users and content makers. I run video editors daily never one hiccup. What's up with the live for the IR blaster. I use it all the time
I guess those who have never had it don't know it's usefulness.

Pulling out your wallet is great and has less issues. Paying online you are vulnerable to "hackers" .... http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d114/slave2_ragdolls/2thump.gif

Yes, contactless pay systems have vulnerabilities, but so does every other form of payment with the exception of cash. When you use 'tap and pay' you aren't actually paying online, your phone is sending a pseudo card number via a secure token to the reader. Your actual card number is not stored or transmitted.

It's unfortunate, but it's the world we live in. Hacking and ID theft are a part of everyday life. Thankfully, most banks here in the US actively monitor your accounts, and in the event that your account is compromised they refund your money and a new card is overnighted. While it's still a pain in the arse, it's not the huge inconvenience it was 10 years ago.

Having said all that, my take is that since everything is susceptible to compromise, why not go with the most convenient and quickest method to get out of the store....

and PS, I like the GIFs. They're old school

I do. I open my wallet and whip out my card.

And you'll never run into store employees who aren't familiar with paying with that method.

I always forget the IR blaster is there, until I can't find my remote! It's an awesome feature.

To each their own, but having choices is always a good thing regardless of what you choose :) Eventually you will see contactless pay systems everywhere and it will become the norm. It wasn't that long ago that I remember having to ask stores if they took credit/debit. Card readers were few and far between.

I swapped my S7 Edge in for a V20 on Wednesday. I did a lot of research on this phone before I made the switch so I knew what I was getting into and what trade offs I would be making. I'm loving it so far and I am happy with the swap. I haven't messed around with the camera too much yet but I love how smooth it is compared to Samsung. While they have come a long way (Samsung) with TouchWiz, they still need to iron out a lot of things. It's just so laggy. It's hard to believe that a top of the line phone with 4 GB of RAM is laggy but somehow Samsung manages to accomplish that. LOL.

I'm bummed about losing Samsung Pay but I honestly didn't use it all that much. I just thought it was cool to be able to go to a store and have the cashier be like "we don't have one of those special machines" and me just do it anyway and have the transaction succeed. LOL. I never even paid attention to see if stores had NFC terminals in my area because I always knew my S6 and S7E would work just about anywhere. I'll have to pay attention now.

Anyway this phone is sick and I'm looking forward to getting more acquainted with it.
