It's here !!! Pics inside

I get you, it is a regular aspect of any phone, just super sized. Lol but without it being utilized from factory, then the whole sum of it becomes useless...yes there are ways to change this, but not everyone is gonna just go modifying their build.prop.

I agree, ram itself isn't a gimmick, but when there's 6 and you can only use 3, if even that, what's the other 3?

But again, this is hardly an issue in my eyes, unless you're purposely exposing the fault here.

I do agree with you though that it should have been available right out of the box. On the OnePlus site a administrator created a thread saying they are now looking into making it available to all in a update. So there's that at least lol.

Yeah curious to see how that goes. But honestly, if it's gonna impact battery more, I'd rather keep it as is.

I thought the 6GB RAM issue was interesting because, OnePlus like their phones to be used by the user, any way the user wants. It's almost like they put out the phone saying, "Hey, here's a super quick phone with awesome battery life. But if you're a power user, developer, or other person who likes to tinker with their phones - here's some extra space to 'upgrade' the phone to if you want to have a play with some even more powerful hardware."

The phone is hella smooth and quick, and the battery life is awesome. I like that it has the potential to become even more of a powerhouse. It's just cool. Not bothered by not using it all right now, it adds longevity as I get to enjoy the battery life at it's best whilst it's fresh and maybe decide to utilise more RAM when this becomes a second phone.

OP what is your reception in buildings like? I know T-mobile has deployed Band 12 on their 700 Mhz and that is supposed to penetrate buildings better and give better reception. I currently have a moto X 2014 and it doesn't have Band 12. In my new office, reception is pretty crappy, however if I step outside I get solid LTE signal so I am considering moving to the OnePlus 3. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Reception has been above average, I have seen it flip between LTE and HSPA few times compared to 6s plus, HTC 10 or others. Inside buildings it's been fine, I haven't seen that many places now a days where indoor reception is a problem personally.
