This is great news. I have tried the ones above and so far I can make the CM 11 run just fine. So far what I found is you need to flash a custom recovery, the right GAPPS, and make sure you wipe the Dalvik cache and regular cache prior to boot (especially if you choose ART.) Other than that this is bleeding edge and everyday more advice comes out on how to make it more stable. I'm still running CleanRom 7 as my daily driver and I can't seem to make any other Rom perform as well.

I'm making my ROM flashable in twrp so you won't need a custom recovery. And yes cleanrom is very stable with the beastmode kernel.

As far as CM 11 is concerned.. There are versions which u can now flash through TWRP... and the custom recovery is nothing but CWM (some version i dont remember)..
What i found is it is very very stable... Super speed ... Didnt got time to test the battery ... but looks very good.. the UI.. the smoothness...

Just FYI.. i am a Sense HAter... So it looks very very good to me.. even before nightlys...
I am not going back to older versions now,,,..

I'm not a huge fan of sense either however, the sense roms have been very stable and I use one so I don't have to worry about phone problems during the day. When I don't need the phone for anything I flash other Roms to check them out and when I'm done I go back to my Nandroid back up. I have yet to find a 4.3 Rom that doesn't have bootloops, reboots, or sleep of death yet. The closest I came was the 11/02 nightly Codefire Experiment with the Torched B4 Kernel. It was a pretty stable setup and clean setup. These 4.4 Roms coming out lately aren't bad but they are still unproven and I feel they are for testing and preview purposes for now. They will get there eventually. I just hope they solve the reboot/bootloop issues in 4.4

If you want a 4.3 ROM that doesn't bootloop, you should try pac-man rom. Its freaking Awesome! I can give you a link if you want.

Hey Wizzrah, if you are still working on a 4.4 Rom and need testers, I'd be glad to check it out. I've looked at the 4.4 Beanstalk (which has an "always awake" issue at the moment), 4.4 Unofficial CM, and the Official 4.4 CM. I'm looking at the 4.4 Shoredroid and 4.4 Experience Roms in the near future. But I can definitely make room for a custom Rom from you.

Off Topic: I've been running down the nightlies of CyanogenMod 10.2 to find out which if any are stable for the Evita. Looks like I found the winner: September 12th Nightly is pretty much a daily driver. It came out after the brick bug and just before the boot loops. I've been running it without issues (I even dumped Xposed with Gravity Box on it and it is still chugging along.)

I've run into plenty of stable nightlys but even aosp Rom I've used has problems managing cache. When it gets full, I have to manually clear it or else I get bootloops and it won't boot. That's why I stick to sense roms now. Plus the only reason I wanted a stock Rom was for the movable wallpapers since sense doesn't support that natively. I just use nova launcher and I have everything I want. As for my Rom development, it is code named "Saturn Rom." I haven't been working on it since I'm starting a group called "studioawesome" to develop apps for android and eventually ios. I'm learning java right now :P. I managed to create two nightlys but I refuse to post them because they are unpredictable. My test runs have been unfavorable. So don't expect my Rom any time soon I'm afraid. But I will keep making toolkits. I am currently moving hosters again and also changing my domain to "https://wizzrah.pw " but it is not up yet. Thanks for your interest and hopefully I will make a stable nightly... eventually...

It's cool. It may take a bit for the new 4.4 stuff to stabilize anyway. Apparently we think alike because I really like the scrolling wallpaper too. I didn't want to run a custom launcher to get it. I kept thinking somebody would make an xposed module to do that. I can do everything else using a sense based Rom. As the HTC phones get the 4.3 roll out I'm hoping they fix the Kernel issues and do away with the random reboots and boot loops.

I think beastmode Kernel with cleanrom is the best combination for the one x. I tried kickdroid Rom as well and it works good too. There has been only one bug. The WiFi doesn't want to stay off in cleanrom. Otherwise, this Rom is better then ota updates. And yes SCROLLABLE WALLPAPERS FTW!

Looks like the CM team cracked the code on the reboot/bootloop Kernel issue. The current nightly DEC12 CM 11 has none of those issues. The team reports they stayed up half the night after discovering the issue. So, looks like they plan to push a stable 10.2 soon and many CM based roms are about to get a lot more stable. Whooo Hoooo!
