iTunes synching app

I installed and tried out isyncr tonight and was very disappointed in its performance. I know some others really love it, and that's fine, but it's not for me. I was amazed to see that it erases and rewrites all of the music files every time a sync is performed, and it doesn't retain playlist selections from one run to the next. It doesn't begin to resemble what I would consider a "sync" operation, and wastes a huge amount of time in doing it.

If I'm wrong in my assessment of its operation, I'm open to correction and enlightenment, but for the moment, I don't like it at all.

Can you sync podcasts. Does this work over the air or cable? I am looking for a podcast client.

iSyncr doesn't erases and rewrite anything. It verifies that the song is present. It is a safety feature to make sure that if you happened to delete a song or two, it will re add it to keep your playlist up to date. I have about 5 playlists with 30-500 songs in each one and it takes about the same time to sync as my iPod.

Has anyone here ever tried streaming music. Check out these two apps. The one I like is called Mecanto. Also, you can try HomePipe. Both of them allow you to stream your entire music collection from your pc to your Android phone. They both work well, however, Mecanto works better for me with playing my mp3s & Itunes podcasts/music - Yes, that's right they sync with Itunes. HomePipe is good for accessing all of your data files such as pdf, MS Office, videos, etc. directly from your pc on your Android phone. The stipulation with these apps is that they only work via WIFI or 3G. Also, it takes a long time to copy your files to the "Cloud" if you have alot of files to upload, but, once they are uploaded, you are good to go. Also, you can still access the files while they are being uploaded, in other words, you can start playing the files even though the upload hasn't completed. Both apps also autosync any changes to your folders that are made on your pc, back to your phone immediately. Both apps are also web-based so that if you want to access your data from another computer(at work, friend's computer, etc), you can do so. Lastly, they both have built in players, playlist setup, etc. Hope this helps someone. And might I add, there is no space limitations & both are "FREE"..................

I just downloaded Motorola Media Link and its looks similar to Itunes just not with the store. Correction there is a store and can do podcasts as well

You can always drag and drop your music folders directly onto your Droid.

I find this to be the easiest way for both songs and videos.

Its easy to drag and drop but if you use itunes you will not have any of your playlists. Thats the most important thing for me. Its not that i have to use itunes, its that i used it with my iphone and all my muaic is listed that way.
