for the life of me, I cannot get music off of Itunes to my LG. I google it and it says I first need to put my phone in the MTP mode. I am instructed to touch the bar at the top of my phone, drag down and I will have the option to turn on MTP mode. I do that and I see no reference to MTP mode or anything like it.

After draggin it down, I checked all things I see and see no mention of that.

I may, just may be able to get music on my phone from Itunes if I can just get on first base by putting my phone on the MTP mode.

any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Hope it helps!

Also remember that music that you have on iTunes and that has been downloaded in iTunes format with DRM, probably won't be able to be converted into MP3 for playback on another device.

I converted my songs to MP3 via itunes and then copied the mp3 files to my sd card via an SD card reader that I plugged into my computer. Worked great.

Also Google music app for the computer can sync your iTunes library with Google music so it's all available in the cloud.. You can then load the app on your phone and selectively download songs from Google music to your phone..

This has the advantage of always being up to date with your music library as you add more songs to iTunes etc

Side note: iTunes removed the drm years ago so only old music purchased in the early 2000s won't be able to be put on your phone (older music purchased now won't have drm though)

Google music will transfer and store your songs from itunes. Just do it.

I think you have to enable USB Debugging in Developer options in order to get the MTP option.

To activate Developer options:
> Go to the phone's Settings section
> Scroll to the System section
> About phone > software info > tap Build Number rapidly 6-7 times (can't recall exact number...think it's 7, but...)
> You will now have a newly visible Developer options selection in that System part of your Settings.

Go in to Developer options and check the USB Debugging check box. This should give you access to the MTP option on your G4.

Once you have MTP working, I recommend iSyncr for syncing your iTunes library and playlists to Android. I've used it since I moved to Android from BlackBerry three years ago.

It's in the Play Store. There's a trial version that allows 100 songs to be synced. Give that a try and see if it works for you. If so, it's worth paying for the full version.

Good luck.

You could also use an app like iSyncr to make the process easier and smoother. Not as good as iTunes straight to iPhone but does the job.

I finally got over what I wanted over. I bought noteburner a few years back to convert the earlier itunes to usable files for a non apple device. I burned playlists on it and then just drug the playlist from a windows explorer to the g4.
