I've come to a decision.

The TB has a lot of issues and so does the 4g. I have a brother who has the TB and has nothing but problems. Like anything new there are going to be problems till the glitches are worked out. There are no issues with 3g as much as 4g. I don't need 4g speed. I need reliability.

I really didn't want to post again until I actually had the phone in hand on Sunday. It seemed a bit premature to say anything until then. However, with the latest news that Gingerbread is coming very soon I'm inclined to say that I'm getting really excited about this phone. Hopefully the update will occur soon.

w00h00!!!! :D

See you all when I have this phone in hand! Sunday's the day!

Well, I did it. I got this phone. Sure seems like the beginning of June was a long way off looking at the other end of an upgrade. Thanks to all that chimed in here with their reviews and opinions. Each one has been really helpful in my decision to buy this phone.

Right now I took it off the charger for the first time. It was at 15% just about 2.5 hours ago. I'm glad it charged quickly. Putting it down to charge was difficult to say the least. This phone is pretty much a huge leap forward from my BB. I've installed a few apps that I had before so at least I've got some continuity right off the bat.

Love it. Thanks again for all your input! Time to go play a little with this phone. Later!

I'm an original Dinc owner and I just ordered the Dinc2 for the wife on Amazon (can't beat the $.01 price). This is her 1st smartphone (I am a converted BB owner). I'm excited for her and I hope she enjoys it!
:D

Well, Congrats on the decision!
It's been a while since your post, and I'm wondering what you think now, after a bit of time having this phone.
I'm sure there is still so much for me to learn. I've got the basics down pretty good, and I love this phone, my first smartphone! (so I'm loving the upgrade in general!) I'm sure I'm not using all of the features, and will love it even more over time.
So, I hope you are happy with your decision too!

Well, after nearly a month with this phone I am really happy I went with the DInc2 rather than the Thunderbolt. The 3G is really quite faster on this phone than my old BB Storm 2. The app support is phenomenal. Getting Gingerbread less than a week after purchasing and now having Skype working I'm absolutely having a blast with this phone. I cannot wait to see what else this phone can do.

What would put me over the top here would be a stable root and bye bye bloat.

I upgraded from a BB Tour 9630 to a Dinc2. The only complaints I have so far is the external speaker, ring volume vs clarity, and vibrate force are sub par compared. Everything else is much much better. I had an email issue with Hotmail...my emails came through over 1 day late and I could not get the Dinc2 to save/show anything I sent through email. But I either guessed and found the right setting or it fixed itself because now emails work fine.

Over all, I can't believe I waited this long to switch...but in doing so I saved some $...and that is always good!

I have issues with the external speaker being subpar, but it is really my only complaint! I had a BB Tour before and this is SO MUCH BETTER =)

Ok, I will submit the speaker is not as loud as I had hoped. Also, the LED is not really visible. Of course I am comparing this to my BB Storm2 where both speaker and LED perform quite well. I'm new to HTC and their phones so to me it's like comparing apples to oranges.

I still really like my phone and can adapt my personal use to it's minor limitations.

This is how I ended up deciding on the Incredible 2.

I came from a Storm 1. There is a lot to learn once you get your Inc2. You will find little things the Android platform does not do (without getting an app to do it) that the BlackBerry's can natively (i.e. Bedside Mode, categorize browser bookmarks, set alerts notifications to e-mails, [but I still have not found an app for this]). But, there is a lot the Android platform can do that really makes the things it can't do seem really small. Overall I thing you will be happy with the switch. Enjoy!!
You can catagorize your browser bookmarks by going into settings on the bookmarks page, also set email alerts in menu>settings>sounds.
